Hey, I've been fat all my life. I've come to terms with that. Not to say I wouldn't like to lose some weight, but when I was at my smallest (175) I didn't feel comfortable being that small.
I've found that being a big guy has its advantages. Most people don't mess with big guys, especially big, black guys. And I can find clothes that I like and that fit. I just can't shop at the mall, which is no big loss given my disdain for popular culture anyway.
I don't use my weight as an excuse anymore. There are plenty of other things wrong with me that I can use as excuses as to why my life isn't the way I want it to be. But being fat certainly is not one of them.
