Ultimately, it was just too good to be able to last on broadcast television, which must cater to the lowest common denominator. Cable. It needs to be on cable. sigh, I need to get cable.

My brother, having taken a year or so of Mandarin Chinese courses, keeps saying things are (and I'm spelling phonetically, obviously) "Bu-shi" It's even more amusing if you know that it means "shoe".

And, since I now realize that that probably makes no sense whatsoever without the explanation being audible, the reason this is so highly amusing is that the way he says it makes it sound like "bullshit".

For instance:
"I have to take the dog out again? That's bushi!"
