Happy New Year!
Wow. Welcome to a new year! I spent a lovely weekend with my beautiful girlfriend ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
emrldgirrl, some old friends and some new. It's been an interesting year. Proof that you never really know what's going to happen from day to day, week to week. It's something I've thought on for years. Having given as advice to many with a broken heart, broken job, or just plan broke situation. You don't know what's going to come out the corner. And that has truly been the case for me. It's not been a stellar year for some of my near and dear, and it's not all been roses for me either. But there's certainly been a few glimmers of lovely things. Old friends reconnected with as well as some new ones found. Things got better at work. emrldgirrl and I have been able to connect in new ways we hadn't before. We, Ohana as a whole, bought a house. Things certainly seem to be on a small swing toward the good, lest I jinx myself I'll say nothing more on that.
I will say. My year ended beautifully, better then I'd thought, planned or expected it to when I went into the weekend (even if I had to work yesterday..grrrr). My year also started off unexpectedly well and I hope give some hint of what the year will bring.
I also realized this morning that effective today, for the first time in 10 years, I have medical insurance in my own name.
And because I fail as a friend and roommate, Happy Birthdayfoxish. You crazy, lethal farting, crack head of a white boy. I love ya.
And to everyone else. If last year lacked, may this year shine. If last year shined, may it need but a little polish for this year. To all my friends and loved ones, Happy New Year
