I did it, I'm on Second Life. Lord help us all....
Can't decide if I like it or not. I think my video card is too slow to deal with it. Makes everything move REALLY REALLY slow.

It's slow on EVERYONE's computer. Even the latest GeForce 6's have trouble getting SL to run smoothly. Not to mention it's recommended that you have more than a gig of RAM for it...

Turn the settings down. Playing with the settings on SL can burn up pretty much any computer currently made.
It's actually KNOWN for burning up laptops, don't even try it if you're not under warranty.
Adjust the settings to suit your needs and don't worry about it. It's an aspect of how it was programmed, i.e. without limits and seemingly at random.

Without limits and seemingly at random. That seems to describe damn near any aspect of life of most of my friends anyhow.

I can't even play the damned thing. I never got farther than trying to create my character before it crashed my computer.
And here I thought my machine was pretty sweet :(

I have to use Randy's computer to get on (for now). Funny that now I finally have the desire to have him upgrade mine.
So I hear you have the last name of "Banshee" too; mine is Chica Banshee. Sweet, we're long-lost sisters! ;)
