I just got an email from one of my oldest crushes. He wasn't just a high school crush, I actually had a thing for him since elementary school. We couldn't be together cause I wasn't saved. But that didn't stop us from being friends. We were the token white kids together. He was a white boy who could dance, was on the football team and pretty popular. I was the white girl who could dance, was on the volley ball team and I guess was pretty popular. It was great to hear from him, I was almost as excited to hear from him as I was another long time friend.
Now if Cristina would email me back, I'm be much happier. Cristina was my best friend from Kindergarten all the way through high school. Though we drift apart some by junior year, we still had a respect for each other. It wasn't one of those, oh we're no longer friends cause I'm cooler then you (though that was somewhat the case, she was always way smarter then me and I knew she would be something. She always had the ambition for it) but there wasn't really any looking down the nose at each other. We just became different people. Well, the reason for my concern is she is in the Army. I'm only hoping she didn't get shipped over seas.
There are a few others I would like to find, a couple that weren’t in my class, but as my high school reunion closes in I'm hoping more of them will come out of the wood work.
