The addiction begins
Dec. 24th, 2004 02:34 amWhen I was 14 I wanted a pair of Converse so bad I could spit. Which was odd considering I was never a kid that cared about 'name brand' stuff. And I never got a pair.
Until about 1 1/2 years ago. While in Torrid (which used to be the way and the light, currently barely the way)
wyldekyttin and I were looking about and found, high on the shelf like a pedestal, a pair of cat print low top chucks. Instant heaven. Not having the means to get them, Kyttin decided I had to have them (she currently having the means) and they were bought. I <3 these shoes. I've worn them to the ends and back and they are starting to show it.
So, I've been cruising eBay for the last year (Ok, maybe not quite that long...but close) to find another pair. In that time 2 pair have shown up in my size (However if you wear a men’s 10 or larger you may want to grab one of the 8 pair a week on there) none of which I have won due to either lack of funds or not being around when the auction ended.
However I've managed to find several other pair. I am currently in the possession of my first high top pair of chucks, 7 1/2 standard black, for 17 bucks (including shipping). They are practically new and I would have paid at least 20 bucks more for them. I also have a pair of low top black on their way, as well as a high top camo pair.
It has begun and I don't think I can stop it. Need more chucks...
