Spike joins Angel
Nov. 27th, 2004 09:47 amThursday night I'd noticed Spike was having a hard time. Breathing seemed to be pretty labored, but he was eating and drinking for me. I got him in yesterday to the local vet. It appeared he had microplasmatic pneumonia. They kept him for the day to put him in a nebulizor and assist feed him. When I called to check in at 1:30, and when they called me at 6:00 last night, he was doing better. He was eating on his own and seemed to be a little more with it.
I got a call this morning at 8:30, that was no longer the case. He wasn't really there, he wasn't responding to the nebulizor and he hadn't ate much over night. The vet suggested, if I can and/or wanted to, I needed to come in. Either he was gonna go on his own or we could assist him. He went in my hands about 9:00 am. He waited for us.
Go my little Spike Spike and play with your brother again, I'm sure he misses you. Spike (Aug 2002-Nov 2004)
