Blargh

So, you have any plans of needing to get in touch with me. Good luck. My computer blue screened last night and I have an idea what caused it, but not what the problem is. I knew Carbon Leaf with be the death of me yet. I was watching one of the videos from their site and my system crashed. And never came back up. :P It blue screens, reboots itself and does the same thing all over. Posi thinks it just needs a boot disk. I told him he can spend the weekend on it, I wasn't gonna take it with me anyway (obviously not now). So, yeah. Currently my computer is dead. :P Not a good start for the weekend.

Sorry to hear; everyone's computers been breaking recently. My desktop is on it's side next to me right now.. I'm expecting a new motherboard today to fix it... just hoping it comes.

Not your fault (I blame Carbon Leaf) but yeah it does suck. Thanks. Good luck with your machine

It looks like when it locked up and rebooted, that it corrupted a piece of the harddrive, and windows is protecting the harddrive by not letting it boot at all (FYI this is kind of like protecting someone who has cut themselves by nailing them in a coffin)

So, I need to dig out the old chkdsk utility and scan and repair the drive, and it should be good as new. I wonder if windows 2000 chkdsk will repair an XP harddrive.
