Snickerdoodlerific!

*stretchsigh* Oh the weather outside is frightful... Oh never mind. The rain/sleet/snow we're getting here in NC is enough to freak everyone here out. Ok, now with the way this stuff is going, I think people back home would be a little freaked too. The main difference is we have the ability to clear this up with a few salt trucks. Salt trucks...what's that? They use Dump Trucks. Hell, if it works. [livejournal.com profile] takaza got off work early because of it, and it's rather up in the air if he'll go in, or go in on time, tomorrow. (the storm is suppose to keep up til like 10 am). Just about the time he got home, [livejournal.com profile] duncandahusky had home made cocoa waiting and I had just pulled some yummy cookies out of the oven (Snickerdoodles, which I had never heard of til yesterday and obviously never made before but turned out quite yummy). Dinner, Duncan cooked :9, was boneless pork chops and snow peas and corn. :) Corn as the starch...should be potatoes, but I'm not gonna complain. :D Otherwise things are quiet. I'm enjoying have online access as well as _someone_ introduced me to Kazaa Lite yesterday, so I've been having all kinds of fun. Off to find more music.

You'd never heard of snickerdoodles? They're one of my favorites! I was a kid when I had my one. But it wasn't until recently that I found a recipe book that included it.

On the other hand, it's times like these I'm glad I live here in the Great White North. At least the cold and snow is only an inconvenience.

No, I'd never even heard of them. But they are quite tasty. :9 And actually Duncan had a recipe in one of his books, plus we picked one up at Penzys when we were there. I might try that one tomorrow, or something different...we'll see. :) Just can't help but be in a cooking (or baking) mood when you're staying at Duncan (and Taki's) place.
