One word, uninspired.

I've been to many cons. I've had one that sucked so bad I can still hear the sucking noises 11 years later. I now have the most boring con ever. Yes, from a security point of few that's wonderful. As for everything else? No. But I'm done. At least for now. Myself and the rest of the adult supervision staff walked. Most, if not all, of Ops is leaving too. I'm beginning to hear a sucking sound here too...lets hope we can stop the whole before it gets too bad.

Wow, that sucks, I haven't been to Windycon in a couple of years and I do miss it. The convention used to have such awesome parties even though I am more the pure geeky type who also really attended for the Sci-Fi and Fantasy.

Perhaps the general population of Sci-Fi and Fantasy conventions is aging and more family focused (a.k.a. being parents) and that causes the atmosphere to be subdued?

After all, at the furry cons, you'll be lucky if you see one child (not teen, but a child).

No, the parties sucked bad this year. There was an observation of how little money there is right now. There really wasn't a large young crowd this year.
