Not funny

Well, I think I'm meant to be stuck at the job I'm at. Last night while looking into ways to clean up my credit (one of which is getting a copy of my credit report) I saw that TransUnion had a careers section of their web site. What the heck. Checked and found a pretty fitting job located in Chicago. Not a commute I would look forward to, but if it paid well what the heck.

Half way through my computer crashed. Like as in won't boot again. It's the same problem I had months ago. I just need to get a boot disk to make it run scan disk. Problem is, even Posi doesn't have a disk. I don't remember how we managed it last night.

I'm only partially concerned. I really don't have money for another machine. Most of the none replaceable stuff is actually on a different hard drive right now, so that's cool. I'd lose a bunch of saved games. Woohoo.

Ah well. I'll save freaking out to when we can't get it to boot at all.

Oh, did I mention my resume is also on my machine?

Neah, if it boots as far as it does, the data's still there. It's just windows that's confused. If worse comes to worse I can pull your harddrive hook it up to my computer, run checkdisk from there, and put it back in.

Unfourtntly, babe, if the computer didn't do it your credit probally would have. As they are the "holders of all credit" they only hire people with good credit. And because it is part of their business it is legal. Sucks huh?

BTW, I can't wait to see you next weekend.
